Motorshutir Kochuri
Motorshutir is green peas and Kochuri is the fried puri. Yup, it is deep fried and simply delicious. My friend invited me over for Motorshutir Kochuri one warm sunday afternoon. It is easy to make and tastes great even with ketchup. But, I will certainly recommend a hot cup of spiced tea to finish the meal.
Ingredients
Boiled and mashed green peas paste
Maida
Cumin
Water
Oil
Salt
Method
1. Take a wok and heat oil in it. Splutter cumin seeds and add the mashed green peas paste.
2. Add salt and sugar as required.
3. Stir the mixture until it becomes dry and suitable for filling.
4. Make the dough with maida, salt and water. Use oil as required.
5. Roll out portions of the maida and stuff the centre with mashed green peas.
6. Roll out once again so that the peas have meshed well with the dough.
7. Deep fry in oil.
Serve with chilli sauce or ketchup. Ideally served with Dum Aloo.
