Puffed Rice Upma

This recipe makes for a great snack in the evenings. It can be prepared well under 10 minutes, and obviously does not require a lot of effort!


Ingredients 

Puffed rice
Cumin
Finely chopped onions
Tuvar dal (1 tsp)
Urad dal (1 tsp)
One red chilli
Finely chopped green chillies
Finely chopped coriander
Turmeric
Asafoetida
Salt
Lime
Oil



Method
1. In a wok, heat a little oil. Splutter cumin, urad dal and the chillies.
2. Add the onions and saute.
3. Soak the puffed rice for a minute in water.
4. Remove the puffed rice and gently squeeze out the water. Add it to the onions and saute.
5. Now add the rest of the spices except the lime.
6. Stir once.
7. Remove from fire.
8. Squeeze lime and garnish chopped coriander.
9. Serve hot.
