Spicy Cabbage curry

I was stuck indoors, thanks to the torrential rains that flooded the city. A badly stocked fridge. I was left with just half a cabbage and this is what I came up with. Simply superb!

Ingredients
Finely chopped cabbage
Finely chopped onions
Finely chopped green chillies
Finely chopped ginger
Ginger-garlic paste
Soya sauce
Vinegar
Chilli powder/flakes
Asafoetida
Salt
Sugar(a pinch/optional)
Cumin
Gingely oil

Method
1. In a wok, heat gingely oil and splutter cumin, chillies, and ginger.
2. Add the onions and fry.
3. Now add a generous dose of soya sauce, a teaspoon of vinegar and saute.
4. Add the cabbage and mix well.
5. Add chilli flakes, hing and salt.
6. Mix well. (If you like you may use coriander or parsely as garnish.)
7. Serve hot with steamed rice.
