Salad with a Different Toss
My mom is just a whiz at making salads. The combination of veggies or pulses she plays with is lip-smacking. The best part - You don't have to sweat it out in the kitchen either to whip them up.
1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup horsegram
1/2 cup channa dal
1/2 cup black channa dal
1/2 cup moong dal
1/2 cup yellow split dal
Bunch of finely cut coriander
1 tsp cooking oil
Lime juiceSalt to taste
Method1. Soak the pulses overnight.
2. Add a little turmeric to the pulses and pressure cook it.
3. In a tava, splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and asafoetida.
4. Pour the seasoning over the pulses.
5. Garnish with finely cut coriander and a dash of lime juice for that zing.
