Oats Porridge

A fantastic breakfast option, the Oats porridge can be made under 5 minutes and tastes lovely. I have the porridge twice or thrice a week with buttermilk. It is quite common to have this porridge with warm milk as well. Oats is a rich soluble fiber and recommended for everyone. It arrests cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure, and is  very filling.

Ingredients
Oats 2 tbsps
Water 1 cup
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Green chillies 2 pcs
Asafoetida 1/2 tsp
Butter milk 1 cup
Salt
Oil

Method
1. Boil the oats in water for a few minutes until it rises.
2. Remove from fire and allow it to cool
3. In a wok, splutter mustard seeds, green chillies, and asafoetida and pour over the oats.
4. Add salt to the mixture and stir well.
5. Add buttermilk according to the consistency you want.

You can either have the oats porridge warm or cold depending on your preference. I sometimes add cooked onions, carrots, and capsicum as well.
