My mom was not in town and I had the task of whipping up a traditional dessert for Saraswati pooja yesterday. However, due to lack of planning, I decided to make the simplest and easiest sweet drink, Panagam, which is usually reserved for the Rama Navami celebrations.
Juice of lemon
Pinch of cinnamon
1. Dissolve the jaggery in water. The quantity of jaggery depends on the sweetness you want.
Tip: You can dilute the sweetness by adding water and squeezing an extra dash of lemon juice.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients.
3. Mix well and refrigerate.
4. Serve chilled.
