Coconut Burfi

The coconut burfi was a massive hit. Subha wanted to try some dessert post dinner. We zeroed in on coocnut burfi and I was inspired to try the dessert with frozen dessicated coconut.

Dessicated coconut 2 cups
Ghee 2 tbsps
Condensed milk 1 cup
Almonds or cashews

1. Toast the dessicated coconut lightly and pour the condensed milk.
2. Keep stirring until they blend well.
3. Add ghee and let the burfi cook on medium flame until the mixture separates from the edges of the pan.
4. Add crushed cardamom powder and mix.Pour the burfi into a greased tray and let it set.
