Mom's Magic Curry Powder

I love my Mom's Magic Curry powder. She uses it most of the curries and I party with it when I cook. Now that amma is on vacation and I ran out of my favourite spice, I had emailed her for the recipe. After  a lovely lunch at Mainland China and a refreshing evening nap, I decided to make the spice powder for my Ridge gourd curry  and share the recipe with the world.

Coriander seeds 3 tbsps
Channa dal 1 1/2 tbsp
Dry red chillies 4-5 pcs
Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
Coconut (optional)
Cooking oil 1 tsp

1. Fry all the ingredients until they roast well.
2. Allow the ingredients to cool.
3. Coarsely grind in a blender. 
4. Store in an air-tight container.
